Winners Announced For 3rd Annual Golden Crane Podcast Awards; Inaugural In-person Ceremony Held In Nyc's Chinatown!

By: PRLog

NEW YORK - Dec. 31, 2023 - PRLog -- This year's GOLDEN CRANE Podcast Awards were handed out to 14 winners and was marked by an inaugural in-person awards ceremony and dinner, officials said. It was sponsored by ListenNotes.com and Podbean.com.

During a first-ever hybrid dinner gala and a livestream via Zoom using the Camo app, nominees and winners alike came together at Dim Sum Palace in NYC's Chinatown for the Third Annual GOLDEN CRANE Podcast Awards black-tie ceremony, co-founder Andy Wang said.

"We were incredibly excited to have brought the GOLDEN CRANES to a place steeped in history and rich in Asian American heritage," Wang said. "This year's event was our most memorable and impactful yet, as we gathered together to recognize the diverse voices that make up our thriving podcasting community."

This year's keynote speaker was Thomas Lee, author of the new book, The Bruce Lee Code. Entertainers included comedians Otto Lee and Vivek Netrakanti. The ceremony ended with AAP's very own Andy Wang playing guitar and singing a rendition of Israel Kamakawiwoʻole's "Somewhere Over the Rainbow."

Podcasters from across the globe submitted their shows for consideration. An esteemed panel of judges, composed of industry professionals, acclaimed podcast hosts, and prominent figures in the Asian American community, reviewed entries. They include: Jay WuJun Yow, Eli Chen, Jeanie Ahn.

"Asian American podcasters have made tremendous strides in recent years, capturing hearts and minds with their unique perspectives and compelling narratives," said Jay WuJun Yow, producer of The James Altucher Show and Golden Crane Awards judge. "This event allows us to shine a spotlight on these exceptional talents and the groundbreaking work they are producing."

"We hope that the GOLDEN CRANE Podcast Awards encourages more podcasters to step forward to nominate their shows next year to all award shows, not just ours," co-founder Lee Uehara mentioned.
