HOLLYWOOD, FL – Premium Digital Control & Automation, the leading home, audio-visual and workplace automation company in South Florida, is excited to announce that it won the DMF Lighting award, “Best Use of Multiple DMF Lighting Products” for its outstanding work on a 9,000-square-foot penthouse at the luxurious Ritz-Carlton Residences in Sunny Isles Beach.

Presented last August 24, the prestigious award was one of the categories in the 2021 DMF Design Awards. Others were Best Residential Application, Best Commercial Application, Best Installation Incorporating DCC Cylinder, and Best Use of DMF Lighting for Accent or Task Lighting Application. DMF Lighting designs, manufactures and distributes residential and commercial downlighting that’s easy to specify and intuitively simple.

“We are honored to have won this award. I’m especially proud of our team for coming up with a truly inspired holistic approach to the design of DMF lighting products throughout the entire penthouse,” said Randy Toth, president of Premium Digital Control & Automation.

Winning in a category that doesn’t just make use of one DMF product but the entirety of a company’s lighting system best exemplifies how Premium’s team of award-winning technicians live up to their expertise in providing the ultimate customized smart and automated solutions for homes and various workplaces.

In this award-winning project, Premium Digital Control’s application of DMF lighting products was meticulously designed for a private client’s specific design esthetic, an international traveler and entrepreneur. Showcasing floor-to-ceiling glass windows around the perimeter of the entire space, the challenge was to create a functional design that dares to enhance the beauty of the space.

As its project manager, Shaun Elwin led the team in turning the 9,000-square-foot space into a dream smart home, featuring 178 base and accent spots to house adjustable LED downlighting to illuminate the room flow, wall artworks, and the natural beauty of the location. Premium Digital also made exemplary use of the minimal profile of DMF’s modular OneFrame system.

The contest was offered only to approved DMF installers, integration specialists, representatives, builders or architects at the time of entry in the United States, District of Columbia and Canada.

The roster of judges was from the design-build and lighting design communities: Richard Christensen, VP of Estate Homes, Magleby; Maureen Cohen, interior designer, Makawe Interiors; Mark Danesh, DMF Lighting founder and president; Anne Kustner Haser, president, AKLD Lighting Design; and Kami Rezai, founder and president, HiTech Design.
