To qualify for the discount, people must show some form of proof to an on-site employee that they are from an area impacted by the Dixie Fire.
“We know there are quite a few people currently living in Woodland and the surrounding area who have had to leave their homes due to this devastating fire. We’d like to do our part in making things at least a little easier during these trying times,” said Lloyd Silver, co-owner of Sage Laundry along with his wife Jessica Vetter-Silver.
First responders assigned to the Dixie Fire receive 50% off of wash, dry, and fold services. Fire, paramedics, EMTs, police officers and other first responders can drop off their laundry in Woodland (https://www.sagelaundry.com/woodland-wash-dry-fold/) and show department ID to qualify for the discount. The standard minimum order size is waived as is the additional charge for same-day service if laundry is received by 11AM. This discount also applies to cleaning sleeping bags, comforters, blankets and anything else that is machine washable.
“First responders are exhausted and should be spending the little free time they have resting and with family,” continued Mr. Silver. “They shouldn’t have to worry about laundry but they need clean clothes for health and other reasons. Our team is happy to help these heroes who are keeping our communities safe.”
