Fitbit shares surge after diabetes-monitoring partnership in new smartwatch

Fitbit Inc. shares rally Thursday after the fitness-tracker company announces a collaboration with glucose-monitoring device company DexCom Inc. to allow diabetics to monitor their blood sugar over Fitbit’s new smartwatch.
