TT electronics-IMS Expands Cable Offerings by Consolidation of New Chapel Electronics Operations

TT electronics announces that New Chapel Electronics Ltd., provider of high technology interconnect and cable harnesses for the Aerospace and Defence industry will be merged into the IMS Division.

PRLog - May 23, 2013 - ROGERSTONE, U.K. -- Global provider of low volume, high mix electronics manufacturing services for the aerospace and defence markets, TT electronics integrated manufacturing services (TT electronics-IMS) is expanding its cable harness capabilities. The company announced today that New Chapel Electronics Ltd., provider of high technology interconnect and cable harnesses for the aerospace and defence industry is now part of its Integrated Manufacturing Services business in Europe.

New Chapel Electronics, part of TT electronics plc is located in Fairford, England and has become one of the U.K.'s premier suppliers of innovative cable harnessing solutions, customized backshells, and lightweight high performance composite tubing for harsh environment interconnects within the aerospace and defence markets. “By integrating New Chapel’s harnessing operations into the IMS division, we expand our cable and harness capabilities, complementing our extensive suite of solutions on a truly global basis,” said John Molloy, Divisional Chief Executive for TT electronics-IMS.  

With expected completion during the second quarter of 2013, this transfer of business operations and technology will increase the value offering for new and existing customers of both businesses. Existing harness customers will benefit from a business that is exclusively focused on providing highly engineered solutions in strategically parallel market segments. Similarly, current TT electronics-IMS customers can expect greater cable and harness offerings including more specialised technologies and faster service and turnaround.
