Jerome Myers began his career in business, building a division of a Fortune 550 company from the ground up. However, leaving corporate America enabled Myers to discover more fulfilling and impactful pursuits. Through his achievements in business and as an entrepreneur, Myers has learned what it takes to make your dreams a reality — insight he strives to share with others through lectures, podcasts, masterminds, and coaching. As a guest at the Closing Bell Speaker Series on February 15, 2024, at the College of Business and Economics at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University (NC A&T) Myers had the opportunity to talk to students about how to achieve success after graduation and inspire them to pursue their dreams.
Renowned for his multifamily real estate investing expertise, Jerome Myers is also an award-winning engineer, business strategist, and coach for wealth advisors. Developed through personal experience and working with family and friends, Myers’ holistic approach to life coaching centers on building one’s self-image. Expanding from there to address other aspects of one’s life, including relationships, career goals, health, and prosperity, Myers guides individuals towards not only financial prosperity but also life fulfillment.
“Invitations to speak to the next generation of business leaders is always an opportunity I cherish,” remarked Myers. “They are full of ambition and hope. They know where they want to go, but they’re not always sure how to get there. Every journey is unique. But if they know at the beginning of their journey what I know now, that will give them an advantage as they step out into the world to realize their dreams.”
NC A&T’s Willie A. Deese College of Business and Economics established the Closing Bell Speaker Series in September of 2008. The goal of the program is to help students engage with business leaders in discussions about the global business environment. Doing so not only educates students about what to expect outside the classroom but also provides mentors and role models to inspire students to reach their full potential.
“When students graduate from school, they have a lot of knowledge about a given field of study,” stated Myers. “But applying that knowledge and thinking outside the box to find innovative solutions to real-world problems can be a huge stumbling block. The more they understand about the business world and how they can contribute, the more prepared they will be to become successful leaders and decision-makers.”
In addition to being a financial planner coach, Myers serves on the North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University Entrepreneurship Advisory Board.
