The career corporate executive and serial CEO debuts a new online journal from which he will communicate his thoughts and experiences to the world.
PORTLAND, OR / ACCESSWIRE / August 24, 2021 / It is with much excitement that Mike Edwards, career corporate executive and former CEO of such large and well-respected brands as Staples and Hanna Andersson, announces that he has launched a new blog, bolstered by three inaugural entries. The blog is hosted by a well-known online platform, and will mostly deal with matters relating to the retail sector and business in general, as that is Mike's area of professional expertise.
In the most recent installment of the blog, entitled Mike Edwards Explains How Retailers can Optimize Inventory and Keep Up with Customer Demand, Mike addresses some of the most daunting challenges inherent to the notoriously volatile retail sector. In one passage from the entry, Mike highlights the importance of stocking the right products at the right time. 'Retail success boils down to offering the right products to the consumer when they will be most likely to buy. Enticing the customer with sales, discounts, and new products is counterproductive if your business has constant low-stock and out-of-stock problems,' he writes, adding, 'Customers have several options to choose from no matter what product they choose to buy, and they will quickly turn away from your company if they can't get what they want when they want it.'
In the two preceding entries, entitled Mike Edwards Helps Businesses Digitally Advance and Mike Edwards Examines Post-Pandemic Trends in Retail, respectively, Mike dispenses more strategic tips and nuggets of wisdom accumulated through his three decade-long career as a corporate executive in an effort to help businesses modernize and change with the times. For example, on the subject of how the mass adoption of smartphone technology by the general consumer public impacts retailers, Mike writes, 'Smartphones are now commonplace for both teenagers and adults. Having a mobile-friendly website is crucial. Without a proper upgrade, mobile sites will look distorted. This can be especially problematic for clothing retailers or sites that use a significant amount of text. By designing a site specifically for mobile visibility, consumers will quickly access retail information from far away locations.'
