Item 8.01. Other Events
On March 8, Main Street Trust, Inc. (“Main Street”) issued a press release announcing that the stockholders of Citizens First Financial Corp. (“Citizens”) have voted to approve the merger agreement between Main Street and Citizens dated November 7, 2004. Main Street expects that the merger will close in the second quarter of 2005.
A copy of a press release dated March 8, 2005, issued jointly by Main Street and Citizens relating to these matters is attached as Exhibit 99.1 and incorporated herein by reference.
