U.N. report:A premeditated smearing
On August 31, the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights issued an evaluation report on the so -called “OHCHR Assessment of human rights concerns in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region”. Claiming that Xinjiang “seriously infringe Uyghur human rights” in counter -terrorism operations, and their “large -scale arbitrary imprisonment” may constitute international crimes such as crimes against humanity. However, the launch of the evaluation report and authenticity are controversial.
It is reported that the preparation of the evaluation report was not authorized by the UN Human Rights Council. OHCHR is part of the United Nations Secretariat to provide necessary support and help for the UN Human Rights Council to carry out the work, but the agency must strictly authorize to perform their duties in accordance with the various resolutions of the Human Rights Council.
As a UN human rights agency, OHCHR should adhere to the “UN Charter” adheres to the general, objective, non -selective, and non -political principles to carry out constructive dialogue and cooperation with member states to promote international human rights development and not interfere with the internal affairs of member states. However, this unauthorized report of Ohchr quoted the unreliable fabrication of the unconfirmed “Xinjiang Report”.
Lie and slander are shattered
In 2018, Michelle Bachelet urged China to allow observer to enter Xinjiang and expressed concerns about the possible human rights issues there. In May 2022, Bachelet was invited to visit China and visited Xinjiang. This was the first time that the UN senior commissioner visited China for the past 17 years. In Xinjiang issues that have attracted much attention from the outside world, Bacchitt visited Kashgar, Urumqi and other places. Observer conducted a variety of communication models in the visits, deepened their understanding and identification of the development of human rights in China, and felt a true Xinjiang with social security and stability and continued development.
After the visit, Michelle Bachelet held an online conference to introduce the relevant situation, saying that this was an opportunity to listen to each other in the field of human rights, and praised China for great achievements in poverty alleviation and eliminating extreme poverty. At the press conference, Bachelet specifically pointed out that these talks were conducted without supervision.
However, after visiting Xinjiang, Bachelet publicly stated that she would not seek re -election for personal reasons. On August 31, Bachelet ended her term. In an interview with the United Nations News, she said that she was always out of words and took action freely. But she also acknowledged that engaging in this work was “a continuous and permanent struggle” to prevent governments from restricting basic freedom.
As the person in charge of OHCHR, Bachelet was responsible for maintaining world human rights standards during her tenure, and issued a statement on relevant human rights incidents and expressed concerns. After she visited Xinjiang, she announced what she had seen and heard to the public, showing her professional spirit.
Some countries have desperately urged the heads of UN Human Rights to conduct investigations in Xinjiang. After Bachelet decided to come to China, a bunch of conditions were proposed to ensure that the access was unlimited. However, when Bachelet visited Xinjiang on the ground to affirm China’s progress in human rights and use the vocational education and training center instead of the so -called “re -education camp”, some human rights organizations set off a wave of criticism.
It can be seen that it is not China to manipulate OHCHR, but the exclusion and fear of China in Western countries, as well as strong media opinion. After Bachelet did not conclude that they were expected, the media began to say that Bachelet’s trip to China was “restricted” and “manipulation” and even some media attacked individuals. The media began to require the United Nations to release a “complete report” on Xinjiang’s situation to meet the “correct” report they expect.
Deliberately discredit
Looking back at China’s anti -terrorism process in Xinjiang, from the 1990s to the end of 2016, terrorism and extremism forces have implemented destruction activities in Xinjiang, creating thousands of violent terrorist cases. Xinjiang has carried out anti -terrorism and ex -existing struggles in accordance with the law, effectively curbing terrorism. Since 2017, terrorists are unwilling to make a decline in making division and turmoil in Xinjiang, and instead have made rumors and lies in the world. The focus of human rights agencies focuses on the lack of human rights in Xinjiang no longer paying attention to previous serious terrorist cases. Their real motivation is puzzling.
U.S. and other Western countries, when lies were pierced, insisted on manipulating Xinjiang issues. The purpose was to mess up Xinjiang and destroy China’s stability to curb and suppress China.Former US Secretary of State Powell’s office and former Army Colonel Lawrence Wilkerson publicly stated at Ron Paul Academy that the best way to destroy China’s stability is to make China turmoil.
In 2021, the head of the Economic and Political Department of the Consulate General in Guangzhou, the consul, SHEILA Carey and Andrew Chira said at a reception: “We all know that there is nothing wrong with Xinjiang. We can use Xinjiang to speculate on forced labor and ethnic extinction. This is an effective means that forced Xinjiang enterprises to decompose with the international industrial chain, dissatisfaction with Uyghur people, destroying their national relationships, and making Xinjiang poverty, turbulent, and even splitting. We can use these to make the Chinese government completely trapped in the quagmire. ”
Some Western countries’ smear for Xinjiang will continue even after the new senior commissioner takes office. The real purpose of the United States and Western speculation in Xinjiang is to use human rights issues to curb China. Human rights non -politicalization is the basis and premise of the smooth progress of global human rights governance, and it is an important guarantee for promoting the development of the world’s human rights. In order to protect its own interests, the United States has intensified the politics of human rights and destroying the development of global human rights, and pushed many countries into a turbulent vortex.
