Through the combined efforts of their vaccination centres, Imaan Healthcare pharmacies have collectively surpassed 215,000 Covid-19 vaccinations.
Imaan Healthcare is a chain of nearly 40 independent community pharmacies throughout the UK. Seven of them have been operating Covid-19 vaccination centres throughout Derby, Burnley, Oldham, Bewsey, Accrington, Wesham and Blackpool.
These figures emphasise the important role community pharmacies have in their local communities. In order to see an end to the ongoing pandemic, everyone who is eligible must get themselves vaccinated, and by distributing the vaccination programme across community pharmacies, greater access to the lifesaving jab is achieved.
The number of vaccination sites managed by Imaan pharmacies has only increased since January. Six months into the vaccination programme, in June, Imaan pharmacies surpassed 100,000 vaccinations with their six sites. Three months later, in half the time and with seven sites in operation, that number has doubled.
Things aren’t slowing down, either. While 82% of over-16s in the UK are fully vaccinated and lockdown restrictions have gradually eased since Summer, vaccination centres continue to provide vaccines for those not vaccinated yet and for the 50 years old and over that are eligible for their booster dose. All unvaccinated individuals are urged to get jabbed as soon as possible to protect themselves and their community. Additionally, booster jabs for Covid-19 are currently being rolled out now for those eligible.

It’s been a monumental effort by everyone involved. Now that we are approaching the winter season, we often see greater pressures on the NHS and hospitals. Therefore if you are eligible for your booster dose please get your third dose and your flu vaccine if you have not already. These measures just help reduce the risk of getting infected and keep you and your families safe; and reduce the risk of adding pressures on the health system”.
