SeavisTours, a family-operated excursion company specializing in eco-tours in the Dominican Republic, has recently launched new tours and excursions that explore the island’s picturesque scenery and authentic culture. These tours visit remote areas of the island, offering a real Dominican experience away from crowds and an opportunity for a focus on nature that’s not possible in tourist hotspots.
More information on the excursions is available at http://www.seavisbayahibe.com
These day trips leaving from Punta Cana, Bavaro, La Romana and Bayahibe re-launched on July 1st and are marked with the world’s first-ever global safety stamp. The stamp, from the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC), was created in May to recognize businesses practicing safe travel protocols around the world. This means adopting standardized health and hygiene protocols that are in the best interest of the customer.
The stamp has received the endorsement of the United Nations World Tourism Organization. It was created to help the travel and tourism sector reopen for business, moving in a coordinated approach following earlier closures and travel restrictions due to COVID-19, according to a press release from the WTTC. Guests can now book their reservations knowing the company has taken all possible safety measures.
SeavisTours has provided eco-tours visiting remote locations to more than 100,000 guests since the company began in 1999. The company’s goal is to provide an alternative to the program of big operators, for vacationers who want to experience the real Dominican Republic. The guides aim to personalize each excursion, allowing vacationers to still enjoy the lonely, postcard beaches and places in the country that tourists often don’t get a chance to see.
The company has several boat tours to the most remote and the most beautiful beaches on Saona Island. Guests can see starfish, sea turtles and corals. One of the tours seemingly offers guests a journey back in time when they visit the small and colorful fisherman’s village of Mano Juan.
There are river and land tours as well, like the Chavon Special which offers the rainforest experience, and the Jungle Eco Tour, an ecological jungle tour on and around the Chavon river. In addition, there are special shore excursions for passengers of the cruise ships docking in La Romana.
