Alphabet-funded Duolingo becomes first $1 billion tech start-up from Pittsburgh

Duolingo, the language-learning app, raises a new round of venture capital led by Google parent Alphabet's CapitalG and becomes the first Pittsburgh tech start-up valued at more than $1 billion.
