Feature Film to Detail Croft’s Remarkable Military Service, Record-Setting 29-year Undefeated Streak, and Battle Against Post Traumatic Stress Disorder

October 30, 2023 - Constant Motion Entertainment is now in production on an extraordinary documentary, Croft, celebrating the life of Hal Croft, a decorated Vietnam War veteran, and iconic high school track and field coach. This feature film promises to captivate audiences with an immersive exploration of Croft's remarkable journey through wartime heroics, an historic 29-year unbeaten streak as the Reading Memorial High School coach in Massachusetts, and his ongoing battle against Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

"This is fundamentally a story about overcoming adversity," affirms Brandon Millett, CEO of Constant Motion Entertainment. "Croft survived abuse, the crucible of war, and his own inner turmoil to emerge as a revered educator and the nation's preeminent high school track and field coach. However, now, in the tranquility of retirement, the echoes of war have grown louder, and Croft must confront them without the worldly successes that once sustained him. It's a common experience shared by countless aging veterans and their families."

Scheduled for release in the spring of 2024, Croft promises an engaging narrative, featuring interviews with Croft's former students, athletes, family members, colleagues, and even adversaries. The documentary offers a heartfelt reunion between Croft and a Vietnam battle buddy he hadn't seen in over 50 years, alongside dramatic recreations of pivotal moments in his life.

Produced by Millett, known for his expertise in military storytelling, Croft shines a spotlight on a man who embodies resilience and unwavering determination. Millett, a former co-founder of the GI Film Festival, known as the "Sundance for the Troops," has a track record of producing military-themed content for entertainment giants such as Walt Disney Studios, MGM, NBC Universal, and Discovery. As a former student-athlete of Croft, his personal connection to the subject amplifies the film's emotional resonance.

The film is directed by Jonathon Link, celebrated for his award-winning documentaries, including Travis: A Soldier's Story and 7 Yards, both of which graced the screens of Netflix. Executive producers include the esteemed actor and military philanthropist Gary Sinise, Paylocity founder Steve Sarowitz, and Dave Girouard, a former Croft student-athlete and the co-founder and CEO of Upstart.
