Muck Rack Named to 2022 Inc. 5000

Public Relations Management (PRM) platform is recognized among annual list of America’s fastest-growing private companies

Muck Rack, the Public Relations Management (PRM) platform that helps organizations find the right journalists to pitch, report on media coverage, and prove the value of their work, announced today that it has secured a spot on the annual Inc. 5000, the list of fastest-growing private companies in America.

Ranked no. 1,907, Muck Rack saw 75% year-over-year revenue growth in 2021, and more than 300% revenue growth over the three-year period from 2018-2021.

Muck Rack has quadrupled its staff over the past three years, hiring more than 125 people in the last year alone. It became a fully distributed company in June 2021 and is repeatedly recognized for its business growth and workplace culture. Earlier this year, it was named one of the best remote companies to work for by Built In, and before going fully distributed, Crain’s named it one of its 2020 Best Places to Work in New York City.

Muck Rack was founded by Greg Galant and Lee Semel in 2009 as a way to help journalists find each other on Twitter. It quickly became popular with PR professionals and journalists, with more than 10,000 journalists requesting to be added to Muck Rack in the first year. In 2011, the Muck Rack software platform was born, offering basic journalist profiles, email alerts, search and lists. Since then, Muck Rack has transformed into a Public Relations Management (PRM) platform, enabling over 3,500 organizations to build trust, tell their stories and demonstrate the unique value of earned media.

“This is the first time Muck Rack has been featured on the Inc. 5000 and it’s an honor to be recognized by such a prestigious organization alongside so many successful companies,” said Gregory Galant, cofounder and CEO of Muck Rack. “Our remarkably rapid, sustainable growth over the past few years is a huge testament to our team and their continued commitment to innovate and reinvent how organizations generate and measure earned media.”
