Federman & Sherwood announces that it is investigating Bansley & Kiener relating to a data breach announced by the Company. Bansley & Kiener is a full-service Chicago-based accounting firm that has conducted payroll compliance engagements for health, pension, and other benefit plans across the Midwest region. Bansley & Kiener revealed that it was recently subject to a ransomware data security attack. The attack is believed to have compromised nearly 275,000 customers’ personal data – including Social Security numbers.
