Item 7.01. Regulation FD Disclosure
On November 14, 2006, Encore Wire Corporation (“the Company”) issued a press release
announcing the declaration of a dividend of $0.02 per share. The record date for the dividend is
January 5, 2007 and it will be paid on January 19, 2007. In the press release, the Company also
announced Board authorization of a stock repurchase program for up to 1.0 million shares, which
program supersedes the Company’s existing stock repurchase program. Stock repurchases under the
new repurchase program will be made from time to time, based on stock
availability and price.
The text of the press release is included as Exhibit 99.1 to this Form 8-K.
