Coles Myer - Official name change to Coles Group Limited
Following approval by shareholders at last week's Annual General Meeting, Coles Myer has today officially changed its name to Coles Group Limited.
CEO John Fletcher said the name change was a significant milestone in the company's strategic journey to create an integrated supermarkets, liquor, convenience and general merchandise business under the icon Coles brand that provided for the everyday shopping needs of Australians.
From Wednesday, 29 November, Coles Group Limited will be listed on the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX) under the code of CGJ.
The ASX code CGJ reflects the origin of the Company - it was first registered in 1921 as G.J. Coles & Coy. Proprietary Limited.
The company will progressively remove Coles Myer Ltd branding from view from today.
