Francis Hamit Uses Kickstarter To Promote His New Novel STARMEN

By: PRLog

SHERMAN OAKS, Calif. - Aug. 12, 2023 - PRLog -- Francis Hamit has two award-winning film scripts ready to go, but he does not cross picket lines. During the WGA strike he decided to pivot and release his long novel STARMEN through KICKSTARTER where anyone can get the E-Book edition for one dollar. The offer will run for 60 days. "This seems to be the fastest path to find readers now," Hamit said. "You need an agent to get to most publishers because they don't take unsolicited submissions but neither do the agents. They are overwhelmed with submissions. You can't get there from here. But there are a lot of savvy young and not-so-young writers who are using Kickstarter to sell thier work. This is the future and I am happy to join their ranks. STARMEN is a unique exploration that combines the detective, historical, science fiction, fantasy, espionage, political and romance genres.

"I wrote it during the COVID lockdown while recovering from spinal stenosis surgery. It's a bit of a fever dream." As for the KICKSTARTER OFFER of the complete E-Book of a dollar for more, Hamit said, "I figure everyone has a dollar and I really want readers who will enjoy the book and tell their friends. There are other offers at the higher tiers but if a dollar is all you can spare you still get the whole book!"
