The Airbase suite of Solar Generator with Modular design using breakthrough battery technology will soon launch on Kickstarter

San Francisco, California Jul 13, 2023 (Issuewire.com) - Decarbon Venture (DCV) has developed a swappable solar generator, offering a lightweight and portable alternative to traditional gas-powered generators. The new AirBase ecosystem, which includes the AirBase Duo, AirBase Quad, DCV Power Module, and DCV Solar Panels, featuring breakthrough battery technology that provides up to 7.2 kWh of power storage and is ideal for use in RVs, boats, off-grid living, and as a backup for homes.

DCV's innovative modular design allows batteries to be swapped without powering down, making it a flexible and eco-friendly power solution. Leveraging advanced semi solid state battery technology with incredible power density, the AirBase family of products is lighter and more powerful than any comparable solar generator on the market.

Geoff Elwood, co-founder of Decarbon Venture, developed the AirBase ecosystem while living on and off-grid during the pandemic. He realized that solar power alone could not support a modern lifestyle, especially at night, and set out to create a modular power solution that could be easily scaled up or down.

The AirBase Quad has a capacity of 7.2 kWh, making it the most powerful mobile generator available today. This amount of energy can power a small house for two to three days, depending on usage. With a 6 kW output, the AirBase can run multiple devices simultaneously.

Elwood highlighted three key features of the AirBase family: half the weight and twice the power of other solar generators, a fully modular design, and being lighter and less expensive to operate than equivalent gas-powered generators. The modular design also helps future-proof the generators.

The AirBase ecosystem was designed to meet these minimum requirements:

- Power an air conditioner/heat pump heater

- Power an electric kettle

- Power appliances, laptops, power tools, and lights for days, not hours

- Enable super-fast recharge if AC power is available

- Rapid recharge using solar and wind

- Modular and interchangeable design

- Light enough to be carried by one person

- Safer and more inert than traditional lithium battery technology

Early users of the AirBase solar generator successfully tested the system during a three-week off-road expedition in the Australian desert. The portable solar panels charged the DCV AirBase Duo, powering air conditioning, appliances, and a Starlink internet system.

DCV's generators will be initially sold through US and Australia Kickstarter campaign in late August 2023. To sign up for Kickstarter information, visit www.decarbonventure.com
