Golf Ventures, Inc. Introduces New Director of Sales

Jason Platzer announced as new Director of Sales, effective April 3rd 2023.

LAKELAND, Fla. - March 31, 2023 - PRLog -- Golf Ventures, Inc. welcomes Jason Platzer as Director of Sales, effective Monday April 3rd. Jason brings more than 20 years of experience in the horticulture and lawn care industry, in addition to a strong background in sales management. He will lead a team of eight territory managers, including one international territory.

Golf Ventures, Inc., CFO Eric Burk said Platzer was the right fit for this position "due to his sales leadership. He has managed a staff of 23 people in Florida and South Georgia covering golf courses, lawn care, municipalities, and garden center markets. Jason has been responsible for a $95 million dollar sales budget, as well as sales training and meetings."

While Platzer has not previously been focused on golf courses, his entire career has been in landscaping industries, including pest management. "This opportunity came at the right time in my career, to continue in sales management with a smaller, more nimble company," he said. "I'll be immersing myself in the golf course industry, though I've had some experience in that, and I'll continue working with vendors with whom I've built relationships over the years."

Jason holds a bachelor's degree from Pennsylvania State University and currently serves on the board of Florida Nursery Growers and Landscape Association. He is married with one son, and the family enjoys fishing and theme parks. He noted that it may be time to introduce his son to golf.
