NLBWA-IE Announces Affiliate Partnership with OCIE SBDC Focusing on Diversity, Equity & Inclusion

National Latina Business Women Association-IE Institute partners with Orange County Inland Empire (OCIE SBDC) Affiliate Programs: Focus Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion.

RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif. - March 6, 2023 - The National Latina Business Women Association of the Inland Empire Institute, A regional 501 (c)(3) Nonprofit Organization, announces its affiliate partnership with the Orange County Inland Empire SBDC Network (OCIE SBDC). This partnership will assist start-ups and existing small businesses in underserved communities throughout the region -through training and consulting programs.

NLBWA-IE’s mission is to strengthen the success of the rapid growth of Latina business owners and professionals of the Inland Empire’s population facing significant entry barriers. NLBWA-IE introduces entrepreneurs to business growth opportunities, promotes entrepreneurship, develops small business creation, and provides resources to forge a path to prosperity.

“With this funding, the NLBWA-IE will run start-up entrepreneurship programs, focusing on the IE Latina and Women of Color small business community. NLBWA-IE also offers the Business Management and Leadership Academy Micro MBA/Supplier Development program, a cohort-based training program for existing businesses, and the Annual LatinaBIZCON™ in the IE.” - Maria Molina Solano, Executive Director NLBWA-IE.

The affiliate partnership programs aim to increase its technical assistance services to members of disadvantaged communities throughout the IE region and provide access to capital and resources to start and be successful.The OCIE SBDC Affiliate Program is partly funded by the Small Business Administration (SBA) and the State of California through CalOSBA (California Office of the Small Business Advocate). Funding was awarded through a competitive bid process, and programs will begin operations on March 1, 2023.

The National Latina Business Women Association Inland Empire Institute (NLBWA-IE) is a regional 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization to strengthen the success of Latina Entrepreneurs in the Inland Southern California region by educating, promoting, developing, and supporting the rapid growth of Latina business owners and professionals.
