A collection of books on the new era and new thought, which systematically reviews and comprehensively displays Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, has recently been published and distributed by the Party School of the CPC Central Committee Publishing House.

The collection has been jointly compiled by 22 national first-class experts with Wang Jing, member of the CPPCC National Committee, serving as the chief planner and editor-in-chief. The books aim to transform the profound connotations and essential meanings of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era into a language that ordinary people can easily understand. The works also strive to interpret the new era and new thought in a straightforward manner; help more ordinary people understand Xi’s ideological system, the Party’s basic theory, basic line and basic policy, and the prospects of a better life; and allow the new thought in the new era to truly enter into the homes of ordinary people.
The collection focuses on a series of important statements made by Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, since the 18th CPC National Congress on coordinating the overall strategic situation of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation and the unprecedented global changes in the past century, constructs the ideological and strategic systems of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, and systematically interprets Xi’s worldview and methodology for the new era, new development pattern and new stage. These represent the innovative thinking, innovative ideas, innovative methods and innovative practices for solving the principal contradictions facing Chinese society, building China into a great modern socialist country in all respects, and building a community with a shared future for humankind.
The 22 experts come from Party and government organs, scientific research institutions and double first-class universities, including the Party School of the CPC Central Committee (National Academy of Governance), the Party History and Literature Research Institute of the CPC Central Committee, Academy of Military Sciences, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) and Renmin University of China. They have fully utilized their respective expertise and completed the collection of 22 books on the new era and new thought in the past three years. Among the books, 18 works including “The Communist Party of China is the Highest Political Leading Force,” “Put the People at the Center” and “Carry Out Reform to the End” have been officially published. The other four books, “Build China Under the Rule of Law,” “Strengthen the Army in the New Era,” “Uphold the Absolute Leadership of the Communist Party of China Over the Military” and “Great Cause of China’s Reunification” will be published soon.
The collection of books on the new era and new thought systematically presents General Secretary Xi Jinping’s grand ideas on national governance, which are rooted in Marxism and traditional Chinese culture. The works are also geared to the needs of national rejuvenation, Chinese modernization, the world and the future, and present the Chinese path, Chinese wisdom and Chinese solutions to the world.
