Honduran ex-president pleads not guilty to drug, arms charges; claims he's treated like 'prisoner of war'

The former president of Honduras, Juan Orlando Hernández, who left office earlier this year, pleaded not guilty in Manhattan federal court Tuesday to drug trafficking and weapons charges. Among his many alleged crimes over the past six years, he allegedly accepted a $1 million bribe from the notorious Mexican king pin “El Chapo” to look the other way regarding the cartel’s operations in Honduras.
