Internationally Celebrated Artist, Kasumi To Launch Her First NFT Collection

By: PRLog

Kasumi's "Genesis Collection" launches Sunday, August 1 on Opensea.io

CLEVELAND - July 27, 2021 - PRLog -- Kasumi was a favorite of social media long before there was blockchain. As in so many other ways, she was ahead of her time, making work so suited to the NFT space it seems it must have been created specifically for it. Unsurprisingly, of course, Kasumi's influence can be seen across the NFT space; one need look no further than the amazing custom animations she created and that are often featured on The Eric Andre Show.

Thus, Kasumi and JSG Live in collaboration with Satoshi's Closet are excited to announce "The Genesis Collection" available on Opensea.io starting August 1, 2021. The initial offering will consist of four artworks, each carefully selected from Kasumi's vast catalogue and accompanied by a poem written by the artist. Each piece has been minted under a custom ERC-721 smart contract on the Ethereum blockchain, with NFT media and metadata stored on IPFS backed by Arweave.

These unique offerings pull the viewer into images that provoke memories in infinite ways. Their looping moving images remind us that the pieces from which we construct our current reality are already within us as the memories of movements, personalities, expressions, and gestures. The works' simplicities hide complexities, the way fractals, by repeating a simple process over and over in an ongoing feedback loop, depict the infinitely complex patterns of reality. These works consist of single gestures that are multiplied, staggered, and exploded through time - not just a deconstruction of individual gestures, but a representation of the sum of its parts - with themes and patterns emerging, association and potentialities that undulate through space and time.
