Ostego, MN, 6/26/2024 — Kennedy Vision Health Center has announced that they are launching a whole new category of services tailored around their new technology from Cynosure. These treatments are largely aesthetic with some dry eye benefits, with Dr. Chase Eder running the new portion of the practice. With their latest venture, Kennedy Vision Health Center continues to display its commitment to innovating for patient needs and helping patients restore their confidence.

The two Cynosure devices that offer these regenerative effects are the TempSure radiofrequency platform and the intense pulsed light (IPL) device Icon. The TempSure is more suited for structural remodeling and fortification beneath the skin’s surface, as the radiofrequency energy waves penetrate deeply to boost collagen production. For this reason, it is used to treat skin laxity as well as deeply clogged and damaged meibomian eye glands that are responsible for producing the oil component of healthy tears.
The Icon IPL also stimulates collagen production but is often used for correcting blemishes and topical issues like inflammation, redness, fine lines, scarring, and hyperpigmentation. It uses short, bright light flashes to trigger the body’s natural healing process, which also increases collagen production. Used on the eyes, it can clear problematic blood vessels and minimize inflammation while simultaneously breaking down meibomian gland clogs. It is also capable of permanently reducing hair. Both of Kennedy Vision Health Center’s devices are part of the regenerative movement in skincare technology which focuses on collagen induction therapies, to produce more of the essential proteins that give youthful skin its characteristic bounce and smoothness. Currently, the Elk River/Otsego location will be the practice offering these services, with the eventual intention to establish the new Plymouth location as their main provider of skin-focused treatments by the end of 2025.
