Lighthouse Treatment Center Sponsors Beats on Center Street for Global Make Music Day Celebration

Anaheim, California (June 11, 2024) - The Lighthouse Treatment Center, a leading drug and alcohol addiction rehab in Anaheim, California is proud to announce its sponsorship of the "Beats on Center Street" event, organized by the Downtown Anaheim Association and the Anaheim Packing House. This exciting event is part of the global Make Music Day celebration and will take place at the Center Street Promenade on June 21, 2024.

The Lighthouse Treatment Center has consistently shown its commitment to the local community by sponsoring events like "Beats on Center Street." As a sponsor of the event in previous years, the Lighthouse team is excited to once again be a part of this celebration and show its support for the arts and local music scene in Anaheim.

Tamara Jimenez, Community Relations Manager at the Lighthouse Treatment Center, shared that being a part of events like this allows the team to connect with the local community and raise awareness about addiction treatment and recovery.

"As a long-time community partner in the City of Anaheim, the Lighthouse Treatment Center is excited to participate as a sponsor in the Beats on Center Street event in celebration of Make Music Day. It's amazing to see local events like this thrive again and bring together our community safely and enjoyably. Of course, we are very grateful to the Downtown Anaheim Association and the Anaheim Packing House for inviting us to be a part of this special day," said Jimenez.

Jimenez also explained that supporting "Beats on Center Street" is not just about sponsorship for the Lighthouse Treatment Center. Taking part in these events is also a way to encourage clients and alumni to actively participate in community activities. The Lighthouse has a robust alumni program that regularly hosts gatherings at local events, promoting a sense of community and belonging among its members.

"We believe in the power of community and the positive impact it can have on recovery and well-being," said Jimenez. "Our alumni program is designed to keep our former clients engaged and connected, providing them with opportunities to participate in meaningful and enjoyable activities. Musical events are perfect for our alumni to come together, have fun, and reconnect with others in recovery."

"Beats on Center Street" in celebration of Make Music Day promises a day filled with live performances from local artists, hands-on music workshops, delicious food, and an array of music merchandise. Make Music Day is a worldwide celebration that was originally launched in 1982 in France as Fête de la Musique. Today, it is celebrated on the same day in more than 1,000 cities across dozens of countries.

Unlike typical music festivals, Make Music Day is an open invitation for everyone to participate, regardless of age, experience level, or musical style. From parks and plazas to porches and streets, musicians of all kinds come together to share their love for music with the community.

Attendees can expect to witness live performances that will feature a diverse range of musical genres, from indie rock and folk to hip-hop and jazz. In addition to the live performances, there will also be interactive music workshops, art displays, and food vendors showcasing local flavors. It’s a great opportunity to discover new music, support local businesses, and connect with others in the community.
