The Sustainable Finance Podcast: Benchmarking adaptation strategies in the global financial system

Nikki Gwilliam-Beeharee is the head of stakeholder engagement at World Benchmarking Alliance, a nonprofit dedicated to helping influential companies achieve their sustainability goals.

There are $200 trillion of investable assets across the global financial system, affecting the decision-making of businesses and the lives of billions of people. The World Benchmarking Alliance recognizes the need to scale adaptation to climate risks in the next decade as key to a healthy financial system. The analysis covers key sustainability areas in governance, climate, nature and social issues.

I spoke with Gwilliam-Beeharee on a recent episode of The Sustainable Finance Podcast. She explains WBA’s efforts to align these major players in the financial sector and effect positive change in key sustainability areas.
