Nation’s First Transgender Facility Vote Center Opens Friday

Los Angeles’ Connie Norman Transgender Empowerment Center becomes first of its kind in America to provide general election voting

Los Angeles Transgender Leadership and LA County Registrar-Recorder Dean Logan will appear with other local political leaders on Friday, November 1st at a press conference to announce the grand opening of the first general election vote center in America located at a Transgender establishment – the Connie Norman Transgender Empowerment Center (CONOTEC).

Speakers will highlight efforts made by the County Registrar to have Vote Centers in diverse communities all across LA County in order to provide safe and welcoming places for everyone to vote. CONOTEC leadership will give county officials and members of the press a tour of the entire CONOTEC facility, as well as LA County’s newest Vote Center in the middle of the LGBTQ+ community.
