Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance today announced two promotions and one new addition to its North American claims team: Courtney Koch has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Healthcare and Casualty Claims, Kathryn Ridenour has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Professional and Construction Claims, and Anthony Pizzonia has joined the company as Vice President, Healthcare Claims.

Courtney was previously Vice President, Healthcare and Casualty Claims, at BHSI. She joined the company nearly a decade ago as a Senior Complex Claims Examiner and was promoted to Assistant Vice President, then Vice President. Kathryn was previously Vice President, Architects & Engineers (A&E) and Contractor’s Protective Professional (CPPI) Claims, at BHSI. She joined the company in 2020 as Assistant Vice President, CPPI Claims, and has nearly two decades of experience managing specialty A&E and contractor’s related claims at another insurer and a private law firm. In her new role, she will continue to oversee CPPI and A&E claims, while also assuming responsibility for Construction claims, including Homebuilders’ Liability claims. Anthony joins BHSI with over 30 years of experience of managing and overseeing healthcare claims, including some of the largest and most complex claims in the healthcare industry.
