Building Career and Leadership Skills
Mr. Bingham began his career journey with a sound educational foundation. He received a Bachelor of Business Administration from Southern Nazarene University in 1988. He returned to school in 2004 to obtain a Master of Business Administration from the Jesse H. Jones Graduate School of Business at Rice University.
Not long after completing his undergraduate studies, Mr. Bingham held job positions that allowed him to build his leadership and management skills. He worked as a space management specialist for Kraft Food Groups from 1993 to 1994.
Mr. Bingham next worked for The Coca-Cola Company in various roles, rising to senior manager of strategic selling, which he held from 2013 to 2018. He was also a Menchie's Frozen Yogurt franchise owner from 2015 to 2020.
Sharing His Knowledge for Success
In 2020, Mr. Bingham founded Kiln Global Coaching and Consulting, where he has been the chief executive officer. With the tagline of "baking success in work and life," he and his team offer small-group senior leadership training, leadership retreats and an accountability planning application for clients.
In 2021, Mr. Bingham started sharing the knowledge he had accrued as a business leader by teaching as an adjunct faculty member at The Executive Leadership Council and The National Fellowship for Black and Latino Male Educators.
To promote leaders of color, Mr. Bingham co-founded Power Moments LLC in 2023. This company assists current and aspiring Black and brown C-suite executives in identifying and maximizing results for their organizations, careers and families.
Reaching Aspiring Leaders Through Podcasts
As Mr. Bingham contemplated whether to return to corporate America, he decided that his passion lay in helping leaders reach their potential and effectiveness. To inspire and help them develop skills for success, he created his first podcast, "Leadership Toolbox."
This would lead to the creation of his current podcast, "Whiskey Jazz and Leadership receiving global recognition from the Signal Awards and Davey Awards in 2024 for best in the self-help category and for best host, respectively." During episodes of this podcast, Mr. Bingham holds intimate conversations with business leaders, thought leaders in multiple industries and accomplished authors. He and his guests share their thoughts and insights with listeners.
Mr. Bingham has also promoted leadership development by publishing his books, "Impact: A Leadership Fable," published in 2017 and "A Leadership Fable Companion," published in 2018.
Insights in Leadership Development
In the field of leadership development, Mr. Bingham has seen a broader movement toward using artificial intelligence (AI) and how it can be integrated into business. While he sees the potential for AI to generate content, he believes that organizations should not forget the role of people.
"AI is a tool that you can use to do some things but it is never going to replace a well-seasoned or well-grounded leader," Mr. Bingham asserts.
For his accomplishments as a business leader, Mr. Bingham credits his focus on providing value for clients and customers and advises others to follow this example.
