Item 5.02		Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangement of Certain Officers.

On May 21, 2009, the Board of Directors of Cerner Corporation (the “Company”) appointed Mr. Michael Battaglioli as Chief Accounting Officer of the Company, effective May 21, 2009. The Company did not previously have a Chief Accounting Officer.

Mr. Battaglioli, age 41, joined Cerner in September 2008 as Vice President, Finance. Prior to joining Cerner, Mr. Battaglioli was employed by Epiq Systems, Inc. since May 2003, his most recent position being that of Corporate Controller. Mr. Battaglioli is a certified public accountant registered in the state of New York and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

There are no arrangements or understandings between Mr. Battaglioli and any other person pursuant to which he was selected as an officer. Mr. Battaglioli does not have any direct or indirect material interests in any transaction with the Company or in any currently proposed transaction to which the Company is a party.
