On June 28, 2011, Sparton Corporation (the “Company”) issued a Press Release stating that Mr. Peter Slusser notified the Company on June 22, 1011 that he intends to retire from the board of directors of the Company effective as of the date of the Company’s upcoming annual shareholders’ meeting. Mr. Slusser has served as a member of the Company’s board of directors since 1997. Mr. Slusser is currently a member of the Company’s Compensation Committee.
